A Day in the life of an Intake Specialist

Assists the Health Information Manager and Director with the oversight of the Health Information Department to ensure that referral and medical records management processes run smoothly. Assists with the coordination of referrals and communication with clinical teams. Assists with oversight of medical records processes. Available to support team members, answer questions, and troubleshoot. Works closely with the Health Information Manager to develop/assess and implement referral management and medical records processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree preferably healthcare related
  • Administrative Training
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
