We are always finding new ways to give back to our community whether it be via free education and wellness clinics to our bereavement grief groups helping those who have recently lost a loved one. As a Hospice Quality and Education Coordinator, you will work collaboratively within the agency to promote quality and safe delivery of services. Ensures that hospice staff are oriented to hospice and receive ongoing education and training to promote quality care, compliance, and staff confidence. Works collaboratively with the quality team and hospice management to ensure the delivery and documentation of quality care. To promote the delivery of safe, high-quality services. To promote knowledge of hospice philosophy and standards of care through education. To assess hospice staff development needs and to plan, implement and evaluate education and training, which promotes effective and safe care.


SPECIFIC VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Registered Nurse: A person who is licensed as a nurse by the state in which practicing ME & NH, and has graduated from an approved nursing curriculum by the state and by the designated nursing governing board

Licensure/Certification Requirements: Current State of New Hampshire Board of Registration in Nursing License and Registration.

Other Training, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Hospice experience Required- minimum of 2 years preferred.
  • Education on a continuing basis to meet ME and NH State requirements.
  • Strong customer service, communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
  • Tolerate prolonged sitting.
  • Strong technology skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and a good self-starter.
  • Have a vehicle that is dependable, with valid insurance and have a current driver's license and registration.
  • Have a working cell phone and must be willing to use personal cell phone on the job
  • Job requires that employee drive in occasional inclement weather.
